About Draw to Color

Draw to Color is a collection of simple drawings made for one thing: to be colored in by children. Every sheet is a clean black outline on white, with shapes big enough for a small hand and a chunky crayon.

How the drawings are prepared

Each drawing is cropped and centered so it fills the page, and the background is pure white, so the printer spends its ink on the lines and nothing else. A small site name sits at the bottom of the sheet and stays out of the way of the coloring.

Easy, medium or detailed

Every page says how demanding the drawing is to color and from what age it works. Easy means large areas and few lines, the kind of sheet a three or four year old finishes with pride. Detailed means small spaces, patterns or fur, better suited to an older child with sharp pencils.

Print it, color it on screen, or copy it

The print button sends the drawing straight to the printer. The download button saves it as a file. On a tablet or a computer, the online coloring tool lets a child fill the shapes with a tap. And many children simply put the sheet beside a blank page and draw it again themselves.

For parents and teachers

There is no account and no limit: print as many copies as a class needs. What you can share and what needs asking first is on the copyright page. The site may show advertising to stay free, and an ad never ends up on a printed sheet.
